Teaching Practice First Phase Weekly Report - (4th Week)📖📚

Teaching Practice – Week 4 (4th to 8th August 2025)📚📖

The fourth week of my teaching practice was filled with activities, learning, and memorable moments.

On Monday, as Indu was unwell, we handled her classes along with our, which gave me more opportunities to interact with different students. With the Onam examinations approaching, we were all busy completing our lessons and providing notes, ensuring that students were well prepared.

Tuesday was special, as Anil Sir, our high school English teacher, organized Kutti Karshakakoottam (Little Farmers’ Garden). The students enthusiastically planted cassava saplings, watered them, and learned about farming in a hands-on way.
Wednesday, August 6, marked Hiroshima Day. The Social Science teacher trainees, along with Kiran Sir, planned a poster-making competition and a rally, and also planned a flash mob to spread the message of peace.

On Thursday afternoon, the poster-making competition was held in the school auditorium on the theme “No War – It Destroys the World.” I was happy to be part of it, and the winners were selected by Kiran Sir, with prizes to be distributed in the next assembly.
Friday was the highlight of the week — the Hiroshima Day rally. We prepared a banner, guided the students, and ensured the rally went smoothly. Students held posters, shouted slogans, and performed flash mobs both inside and outside the school to create public awareness. It was a proud moment to see them participate with discipline and enthusiasm.

This week was truly enriching. I could try out new teaching aids that sparked curiosity in students, participate in meaningful school activities, and even begin new chapters in both my 8th and 9th standard classes. It was a beautiful, energetic week that added more depth to my teaching journey.
