Teaching practice - week 6 (18th to 22nd August)

This week marked the commencement of the first-term Onam examinations at our school. As part of our training responsibilities, we were assigned duties in the examination hall. Since the examinations were in progress, no other regular classroom activities or school programmes took place during this period.

Being on examination duty was indeed a new and insightful experience for me. It gave me an opportunity to observe the discipline and seriousness with which examinations are conducted in the school setting. More than just invigilation, it was a chance to understand the importance of fairness, vigilance, and responsibility that teachers must uphold during such crucial times. This experience also helped me realize that teaching is not confined to the classroom alone; it extends to many other dimensions of school life where teachers play significant roles.
One of the most admirable qualities of this reputed institution is the way it provides us, as teacher trainees, with opportunities to engage in a variety of responsibilities beyond regular teaching. These responsibilities, though at times challenging, are valuable in shaping us to become more competent and confident teachers. I sincerely express my gratitude to the school authorities and the teachers-in-charge for entrusting us with such duties and guiding us through them.
